Lineage

27 Apr

Lineage,

and those who derive from,

those who pass hereditary traits, genes, that won’t surpass us. Those who come before, who are the sculptures that shape and mold us. Delivering pieces of wisdom with a trail not so far off from you or I, trailing through our veins, mother, trailing through our veins, father, trailing through our veins, auntie, grandma, sister, brother, cousin, elders who ALL speak the truth in our blood. History has indeed played its role, affecting generations and creating a cataclysm of sorrow. History afflicts the blood, spilling family and love, and poisoning the blue tubes within for generations to come.        To come and take a stand.          Because,     what you do affects creation and if you have power to enforce policies that cater a majority nation to one group that holds the guns, trodden the fields flattening the grass to dry and never letting it run. This     is   OUR     HOME. We live here. This is our     home. And try to understand that sadness is hereditary, like depression, HAN, the racial politics served in the U. S. of A. Binding people in ways that won’t set them free, in ways that sometimes suicide is the only way you can see. And this   isn’t okay.         We must learn to have the strength of mind and remember that we are still here, we survived.     And like a waterfall, or thunder rolling to collide fronts and strike down, this spiritual well being one by one, using our baby steps to trod over the moss stepping softly and face the gun, remembering to leave no prints.    We live here, this is our creation, and still is our nation. And seeking to understand context and content with our stories at the forefront, not assimilating to gloss over our location, season, people, details and facts. We strive to achieve harmony. To learn to live in balance together, and respect one another and share the river by taking care of it and its creatures and letting ourselves be swallowed in its magnificent features. We dwell in it, soaking up each other and seeking retribution, seeking compromise, seeking apologies, seeking over and over and over until we can finally reach understanding and never forget that our history,         is our lineage.
